Data Export
Bytebase users obtain Project Exporter
role to export data repeatedly or request a one-time export in Export Center.
Assign Project Exporter Role
Workspace Admin
, Workspace DBA
or Project Owner
can manually grant Project Exporter
role to users/groups.
Assign at Project level
Select Project and go to Manage > Members. Then Grant Access.
Select Users or Groups, assign Project Exporter
role. You can manually select databases/schemas/tables, alter Max export rows
, and Expiration
. Then click Confirm.
Assign at Workspace level
Workspace Admin
can assign Project Exporter
role at the workspace level. This will grant export permission to all databases within all projects.
From the workspace page, go to IAM & Admin > Members, Grant Access to select users/groups and assign Project Exporter
.
Request Project Exporter Role
Users can also apply for Project Exporter
role by submitting an issue. Approval flow matches the Request Exporter Role
in custom approval if configured.
Request at Project level
Select Project and go to Database > Databases. Then Request Exporter Role.
You can manually select databases/schemas/tables, alter Max export rows
, and Expiration
.
One-time Export Request
Approval flow matches the Export Data
in custom approval if configured.
Request from SQL Editor
Data can be exported directly from the SQL Editor result panel if you have the export permission for the data.
Without the export permission, you can request a one-time export via Request Export.
You will be redirected to an issue page. Create the issue. After approval, you'll be able to export the data one time.
Request from Export Center
Enter Export Center within a project, where you Request Export, select a database and click Next.
You'll be creating an issue. Enable Encrypt and set Password if needed, fill your query commands in SQL block. Create the issue.
After approval, you can click Export to download the exported file once.
The exported issue will be displayed in Export Center.
